Where it all began …
Our story begins in 1946, when Constant Janssens raises his business from the ground up.
As a young, skilled cabinetmaker, he started building cart wheels and stairs. Then gradually moving into outbuildings and wooden greenhouses for professional use.

From a sole proprietorship
to a flourishing family business
In the 1960s and 1970s, horticulture experienced tremendous growth. The demand for industrial greenhouses, mainly in aluminum, increased exponentially. Constant passes the torch to his son René, and there seems a fresh wind blowing through the Janssens offices.
Meanwhile Janssens has become a well-known brand in professional greenhouse construction. The company is expanding with the production of domestic conservatories. This is the start of a new chapter and our craftsmanship becomes accessible to everyone.
International
and Belgian-based
With the start of exports to Germany, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland, the 1980s bring strong international expansion. At our home base in Lier, our professionals work unceasingly to improve our products. In 2016, René in turn passes the torch to Peter, the current CEO.
