Why choose a garden greenhouse or garden pavilion

We refer to greenhouses, pavilions, orangeries, and so on. But how exactly do these structures differ? What is the difference between a garden greenhouse and a pavilion? And why would you choose one over the other? It all depends on what you intend to use it for.

Would you like to grow vegetables, plants, or flowers all year round? Then a garden greenhouse is the perfect solution. The glass walls and roof create a microclimate inside the greenhouse and ensure plenty of light. This allows you to extend the seasons and grow for longer periods throughout the year.

Once winter is over, it takes some time before the weather is warm enough to grow vegetables. Thanks to the microclimate in a greenhouse, the air warms up faster, allowing you to start planting sooner. A garden greenhouse therefore offers a pleasant climate for your vegetables, plants, and flowers all year round. Furthermore, the greenhouse also protects them from rain, hail, and wind.

Furniture in a greenhouse

Garden furniture is often placed in a greenhouse to serve as a pavilion. Here, people enjoy the sun, read the newspaper over a cup of coffee, watch (grand)children playing, and so on. However, it is important to remember that a greenhouse has several characteristics that are less ideal for relaxation. For instance, condensation remains present, and drafts or leaks may occur along the windows, door, or roof. This causes unpleasant humidity and cold air, preventing you from relaxing fully.

Purchasing a garden pavilion for relaxation

Would you like to furnish your greenhouse with furniture, decoration, and perhaps a few plants? In that case, it is better to opt for a pavilion. These open or closed structures are better suited for relaxation.

When choosing between an open or closed model, it is important to keep in mind that an open model allows more wind. Furthermore, heat is not retained as well as in a closed model. An open pavilion is therefore particularly popular during the mild summer months.

They usually appear more elegant than garden greenhouses, are available in various styles and shapes, and feature decorative elements. Additionally, you will experience less condensation or other complications.
