When to build a garden greenhouse yourself
Many people choose to build their garden greenhouse themselves to save costs. This is perfectly possible as long as the work is carried out by at least two handy individuals. If you are not particularly handy yourself, you can enlist friends or family in exchange for a good meal—that always works!
If you want to get started yourself, we recommend inquiring about the difficulty of installation when purchasing your greenhouse. For example, a simple rectangular greenhouse without too many bells and whistles is the easiest to build yourself.
Another tip we offer: read through the assembly instructions (or watch the instructional video) completely before you begin. Errors in the assembly of a greenhouse are more difficult to rectify than, for example, with a piece of IKEA furniture.
Self-assembly of a Janssens greenhouse
All our garden greenhouses are supplied with an assembly manual. In this manual, you will find a QR code that you can scan with your smartphone. This code redirects you to a 3D animation that displays the instructions visually. Convenient, isn’t it?
When to hire a professional
If your greenhouse has a more complex design (such as a T-model) or consists partly of a wall, for example, it is best to leave the installation to experienced professionals. This way, you avoid mistakes and problems. If you are not handy yourself or do not feel like undertaking a construction project, you can also call upon a professional. Please note: do not start building yourself only to hire someone afterwards. Experience shows that in most cases, this does not proceed efficiently.
