Social distancing greenhouse for the hospitality industry

The coronavirus is presenting businesses with many challenges. Measures are being relaxed, but the coming months will still look a bit different. That is why we must come up with creative ideas, such as our Bubble36 greenhouse. Read on to discover what this entails.

The word of 2020: social distancing

You can no longer turn on the TV or radio without hearing “stay in your home” or “social distancing.” During this lockdown, 1.5 meters has taken on a completely different meaning in life. We must now strictly maintain our distance from one another, and this will likely remain the case for some time to come.

Impact on hospitality, shops, showrooms, clubs, …

The crisis has had a massive impact on the operations of consumer-oriented businesses. After a closure of several months, normal life in the physical (offline) consumer market is gradually restarting in phases. This is, of course, taking place in accordance with the measures imposed to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

Restaurant and shop owners must roll up their sleeves and find ways to keep their businesses running. This sometimes requires a bit of creativity! Restaurants are providing takeaway meals, shops are launching webshops …

If all goes well, the hospitality industry should be allowed to fully reopen its doors and receive customers in mid-June, but this too will have to be done in a safe manner.

Our latest greenhouse ‘Bubble36’

We went looking for a creative solution to make social distancing possible for the hospitality industry, shops, showrooms, clubs, … And we succeeded! In collaboration with greenhouse manufacturer Janssens NV, we are now launching the Bubble36 greenhouse on the market.

The black greenhouse measures 3 by 6 meters and features a partition wall and various additional options such as extra doors, shelving, and a sunshade.

“We received the request for such a solution some time ago. It was a matter of finding the right model and equipment to make it interesting for multiple parties. Creative concepts often arise during difficult times,” says Peter Janssens, CEO of Janssens NV.

This glass greenhouse allows restaurants and cafés to serve customers in their own ‘bubble,” where they can comfortably maintain distance from others. This way, both employees and customers do not have to worry about their safety.
